Since PCB design entered the high-speed era, the knowledge of signal integrity based on transmission line theory has overshadowed the basic knowledge of hardware. Someone suggested that the hardware design ten years later will only have front-end and back-end (front-end refers to IC design, and back-end refers to PCB design). PCB design engineers must have basic circuit knowledge, such as high frequency, low frequency, digital circuit, microwave, electromagnetic field and electromagnetic wave, etc. Familiarity with and understanding of the basic functions and hardware basics of the designed product is the basic condition for completing a high-performance PCB design.
